The 2022 Jeep Cherokee comes in Altitude, X, Latitude Lux, Trailhawk, and Limited trims. Three engines are available and both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are available across all trim levels with the exception being the Trailhawk with standard AWD.
The base engine in the Cherokee is a 2.4L 4-cylinder unit that produces 180 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque. When mated to the standard 9-speed automatic with front-wheel drive, the Cherokee is capable of up to 31 mpg on the highway. The optional engine is a 3.2L 6-cylinder, which produces 271 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. The Latitude Lux trim receives the 3.2L V6 engine with standard front wheel drive and includes optional 2.0L turbo engine or 4x4. Jeep has added a few changes to its Cherokee for 2022, the lineup now has five trims including the new X trim. The Limited trim gets standard all-wheel drive.
